It's come to this: a decisive game seven that will send either the Toronto Maple Leafs or the Boston Bruins home until next season.

The scrappy Leafs came back from a 3-1 series deficit to claim back-to-back wins against Boston and tie the series.

Nearly a decade has passed since the Leafs have won a post-season series, a drought that has left their fanbase thirsting for victory. Now the team and their fans will see how far the Toronto squad can go.

Even some of the diehard fans say they are surprised how far the Leafs have come.

Though Monday night’s game will take place in Boston, thousands of Toronto fans are expected to be heading to Maple Leaf Square to gather with fellow members of "Leaf Nation" — hoping to celebrate a victory in game seven.

But the buzz surrounding the Leafs has been building throughout this first playoff series, with the team picking up momentum as it forced a seventh game.

When the Leafs won game six on Sunday night, Toronto city councillors and Mayor Rob Ford were among the many fans calling for the team to keep it going in Boston tonight.
